Rains are short and lavish. Day 1 Arrive to Almaty. Transfer to hotel. Transfer to Karkara Base Camp (280 km) - 7 hours (including visit to the Big Red Canyon of Charyn River on the way - 2 hours). Karkara Base Camp (2200 m). Day 2 Acclimatization hiking (or horse-riding) to the Char Kuduk Gorge to visit nomads - 6 hours. Karkara Base Camp (2200 m). Day 3 Helicopter flight to the South Inylchek Glacier Base Camp - 45 min. Hiking to Zvezdochka Glacier to the foot of Pobedy Peak (7439m) - 4 hours. Glacier Base Camp (4000 m). Day 4 Hiking along South Inylchek Glacier to the foot of Khan Tengri peak ( 7010 m) - 6 hours. Glacier Base Camp (4000 m). Day 5 Helicopter flight to Karkara Base Camp - 45 min. Transfer to Almaty (290 km) - 6 hours. Hotel. Day 6 City tour: visit to the State Museum, Orient Bazaar, Museum of Musical Folk Instruments, Russian Orthodox Cathedral and Muslim Mosque. Farewell dinner. Hotel. Day 7 Transfer to airport. Fly home.
