The grandiose mountainous country of Tien Shan is situated in the center of Asia. The main ridge extends west-to-east for almost 3 thousand kilometers. The Tien Shan is one of the highest mountain ranges of the planet. The most northerly peaks over seven thousand meters on the planet can be found on the border of Kazakhstan with China and Kyrgystan. They are Pobedy Peak (7439 m.) and Khan - Tengri (7010 m), both surrounded by many interesting 5000 and 6000 thousand meter summits such as Bayankol (5791 m), Mramornaya Stena (Marble wall) (6400 m.) and Voyennykh Topographov Peak (6873 m). Due to the efforts of international airlines that started to fly on Kazakhstan and efforts of our company, this mountainous country became easily accessible for both group-expeditions and for solo climbers. After a 6 hours flight you arrive in the southern capital of Kazakhstan, Almaty city. A 5-6 hour drive from the airport takes you to Karkara base camp (2200 m) and after another 40 minutes high-altitude helicopter flight you are already at the base-camp in the Central Tien Shan, at the foothills of Great Mountains at an altitude of 4000 m. Base-camps are located on Bayankol, Northern and Southern Inylchek glaciers, and are equipped with family tents ,big mess-tent with tables and chairs, saunas and long-distance radio-station. The high-altitude helicopter is based in Karkara BC, and a high-altitude rescue team ensures the safety of our clients.
