After lunch, Morning visit Shaanxi Provincial Museum, Terracotta

Fly to Dunhuang by 2Z 231 (09:50/12:30). Transfer to Dunhuang

Today we will visit the famous Mogao Grottoes.

Morning visit Idkha Mosque, Abhoja Tomb, Sunday Bazaar, afternoon

Urumchi - Almaty
City tour in Urumchi. Afternoon flight XO711 to Almaty (18:05)
Arrive to Almaty from Urumchi by XQ flight (18:05). Meeting
at the airport. Transfer to Otrar hotel. Dinner at the restaurant. |
Day 10
(Tue) |
Almaty
Breakfast. City sightseeing (3 hours) including visit to the
observation ground on the Kok - Tube Hill (900 m above sea level)
with an excellent view to Almaty, trip to the highaltitude mountain
sport complex "Medeu"(located in the Maloalmatinskoye Gorge
on the altitude of 1700 m above sea level). Lunch. Continuation
of the city sightseeing (4 hours) including visit to the Central
Bazaar, Central Mosque, Memorial of the Glory, the old Russian
Orthodox Cathedral. Visit to the Museum of National Folk Musical
Instruments with the Folk Musical Performance. Dinner. Overnight
at the hotel. |
Day 11
(Wed) |
Almaty
Breakfast. Visit to the National State Museum & Museum "The
Gold of Saaks". Traditional Kazakh Horse Games Show (5 hours)
- drive to the private amblers horse - farm (75 km).
- "Kokpar" The horse-riders of the two teams try to snatch the goat's body and bring it to their half of the field outside the special line. The task is to do it more times than the opposite team will do.
- "Kyz kuu" The horseman tries to catch the girl
galloping away at full speed at the distance of 200m. If
the horseman succeeds to do that he has the right to kiss
her. If he fails to do that then the girl tries to catch
galloping away loser and whipped him.
- "Audyryspak" Two wrestling horseman tries to push
out each other off the saddle.
- "Kumys-alu" Galloping horseman tries to pick up
silver coins scattered on the earth. The picked up coins
will be the prize for the dexterous rider.
- "Tai-baiga" Horse-race at the distance of 2 km.
Horse exercising of the best local Asian breed: Ahal-tekinsky,
Arabian, English, trotter and local horses. Visit to Sheber
Aul ( Artisan Village), lunch at jurt-restoraunt in national
style. Hotel.
Traditional Kazakh lunch in the jurt. Transfer to Almaty. Visit
to the traditional style hunter with eagles - "Berkuchi" (demonstration
of hunting eagles). Hotel. Dinner. |
Day 12

Almaty - Bishkek
Breakfast at the hotel. Drive to Bishkek (250 km, 4 hours).
At arrival to Bishkek accommodation in "Dostyk" Hotel. Lunch.
City sightseeing including visit to the Historical Museum, Museum
of Arts and Bazaar . Dinner. |
Day 13

Bishkek - Almaty
Breakfast. Souvenirs Shopping. Drive to Almaty. En route visit
the "Burana Tower" (11 century AD) - reminder of the Great Silk
Road. At arrival to Almaty accommodation in Otrar hotel. Lunch.
Excursion to the Sheber - Aul (Artisan Village) - visit to different
handicraft's workshops. Dinner in Kazakh traditional style in
yurts. Hotel. |
Day 14

Almaty - Tashkent
Breakfast. Transfer to the airport for departure to Tashkent
(09:15).Arrival to Tashkent (09:25). Meeting at the airport
and transfer to the "Tsorbi" hotel. City sightseeing (4 hours):
Theater Square, Amir -Timur Park, National Park named after
Alisher Navoie. Lunch. Visit to Abdul Kasym Medrese, Kukeldash
Medrese, Barak -Khan Madrese . Dinner. |

Tashkent - Samarkand
Samarkand (290 km; 4,5 hours). Arrive to Samarkand. Accommodation
at "Ulugbek" hotel. City tour (4 hours): Registan Square (Ulugbek
Medrese, Tillya - Karri, Sher - Dor), Gur - Emir Mausoleum.

Breakfast at the hotel. City excursion (4 hours): Khodzha Akhror

Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to Shakhrizabs (160 km; 2 hours)
- the motherland of Timur with splendid architectural monuments
of XIV-XV centuries. At arrival city tour (2,5 hours): remains
of Ak - Saray Palace, Dorus Saodat (Hazrat Imam) and Darut -
Tillavat Complexes. Lunch. Transfer to Bukhara (300 km; 4,5
