Day 1

Arrive Almaty.
Transfer to a hotel. Breakfast. Excursion to the Central Museum.
Lunch. Bus transfer to Tamgalytas (160km) - 3 hours. Sightseeing
of the rock carvings (II BC). Camp. |

Day 2
|
Bus transfer to the bank of Ili river through Taukum Desert
(200km) - 4 hours. Transfer by motor-boats to base Camp located
in the Ili delta - 20 minutes. Camp. Night fish-watching show. |

Day 3
|
Excursion to the delta. Transfer by the motor-boats to thew
village Koktal - 3 hours. Transfer by safari-truck to the shore
of the Balkhash Lake via Saryesik Atyrau
Desert (130km) - 6 hours. Camp is on the Kasasash cape on
the bank of the Lake. |

Day 4
|
Transfer by safari-truck via desert through the saxaul groves
and dried-up river-beds to the ruins of the fortress Karamergen
"Black hunter" XIII Century AD. (150km) - 8 hours. Sightseeing
of the ruins. Camp. |

Day 5
|
Trip across the wilderness by safari-truck along the Great
Silk Road to the ruins of the Aktam fortress
"The White Towers", XIII Century AD (90km) - 4 hours.. On the
way sightseeing of the ancient settlement site Agashayak "Wooden
leg". Sightseeing of the ancient settlement. Camp. |

Day 6
|
Transfer by safari-truck along the Akdala Desert (65 km)
- 3 hours, and further up by bus to the
Altyn-Emel National Park (290
km) - 5 hours. Camp. |

Day 7
|
Trip by safari-truck to the gorge Terekter (10km). Hiking
along the mountain gorge. Sightseeing of the rock carvings (II
Century BC), acquaintance with the wild life of mountains. Descent
and transfer to the camp. |
| Day 8 |
Transfer to the Besshatyr necropolis
(VII-V Century BC) 30 km - 1 hour. Trip by safari-truck across
the park along the Kapchagai lake to the Singing
Dune (45km) - 2 hours. Wild life of desert. Walking in the
surroundings.Camp is near the Singing Dune. |
| Day 9 |
Camel-riding accompanied by safari-truck to the foothill of
the Aktau mountains (35 km) - 6 hours.
Acquaintance with the wild life of desert . Camp. |
| Day 10 |
Transfer by safari-truck to the Charyn
River Red canyon (180km) - 5 hours. Canyon sightseeing.
Camping. |
| Day 11 |
Canyon sightseeing. Transfer to Almaty (210km) - 4 hours.
Accommodation at hotel of the mountain resort "Chimbulak" (2200m). |
| Day 12 |
Excursion to the Bogdanovich glacier
(3600m) - 6 hours. |
| Day 13 |
City tour (including visit to the National Museum)
- 3 hours. Transfer to an Aul 25 km - 40 min. Program of staying
in the Aul includes (4 hours): traditional Kazakh dinner in
the jurt, traditional Kazakh horse games:
- "Kokpar" The horse-riders of the two teams try to snatch the goat's body and bring it to their half of the field outside the special line. The task is to do it more times than the opposite team will do.
- "Kyz Kuu" The horseman tries
to catch the girl galloping away at full speed at the distance
of 200m. If the horseman succeeds to do that he has the
right to kiss her. If he fails to do that then the girl
tries to catch galloping away loser and whipped him.
- "Audyryspak" Two wrestling
horseman tries to push out each other off the saddle.
- "Kumys-alu" Galloping horseman
tries to pick up silver coins scattered on the earth. The
picked up coins will be the prize for the dexterous rider.
- "Tai-baiga" Horse-race at
the distance of 2 km.
Horse exercising of the best local Asian breed: Ahal-tekinsky,
Arabian, English, trotter and local horses. Transfer to
Almaty - 40 min. Hotel.

| Day 14 |
Excursion to the Museum of Folk
Musical Instruments (including folk performance) - 2 hours.
Excursion to the Museum of Art - 2 hours. Accommodation at a
hotel. Lunch. Visit to the Oriental Bazaar and souvenir shops
- 2 hours. Visit to Shiberaul ("The Artisan Village") - 1 hour.
Dinner at the restaurant in national style. |
